Working through a series of 5 Kumon workbooks, students will master one skill at a time before moving on to the next. Each skill will be taught in a step-by-step manner with a logical progression and plenty of repetition.
Students will begin each week by watching a recorded video focusing on the skill for the week, taught by our Queen of Heaven Academy teacher. Each day students will work on the skill through practice pages in the workbook (parents can check the work with the key at the back of the workbook). At the end of each week students will have a short quiz on the weekly material with a few review questions from concepts studied in previous weeks.
Note on Common Core: The workbooks do not include much instruction but are designed for practice. In this way, our teacher is able to teach concepts without being guided by the Common Core standards.
